there were quite a few surfers out at 7am all in wetsuits catching a few clean waves here and there...

really low tide and not much force to the waves...  caught like 5 decent rides in an hour, got cold and the waves got wank, so i gave up...

found a pair of wetshoes, posted on lost&found craigslist.org...

it was too messy out there...  i will wait till later on, see if the tide coming in and the wind dying down help clean up the waves some...

mostly sloppy waves, caught a few big ones way out there...  was a real challenge to swim out thru the crashing waves, so i tired of that quick...

were some nice body-boarding waves to be had...  well worth the trip out to the beach...

had a perfect day out there, enuff said...

now i hope for a better tommorrow...

imma head out early tommorrow morning and see what the beginning of this swell looks like...  hopefully catch a few rides on some clean rollers...

there are supposed to be strong winds blowing from the south wednesday, shifting to the west and gaining more strength thru friday...

check the beach often...  the next couple of days have great potential...

got there early, watched for a bit, decided to wait...  let it warm up some, see if the waves cleaned up any...  they were tumbling close to each other...

got in around 8:45am, caught 5 waves in an hour and a half...  lots of waiting and swimming up current...  so when it got smaller, i called it quits...

i was the only one out, which makes sense, it wasn't all that spectacular...

went back around 1pm, saw 1 surfer out in pretty shallow waters...  he caught a few small 1 second rides...  he fell some, was fun to watch...  but i wasn't gonna get in...

it was really cold at 7am but i went out anyways...  the waves were rolling short but clean out between the pier ends and the buoys...  i caught a few stand up rides and a few squat rides, enuff to make it worth it...  but the waves died down around 8am and i hopped out...

i got to test my new black board out...  i've dubbed it Humming-Bird, cause the long fin jiggles when i catch a wave, and the whole board hums as it vibrates...  overall i was pleased with the board...

maybe ill go back later today when the tide comes in and check it again...  there are still waves out there this week...  keep checking the beach...

went back to the beach around 2pm to see what was going on...  there were 4 surfers in the water, pretty far out trying to catch the waves as they first broke...  let's just say i give them an 'A' for effort...

still hoping for some cleanup tommorrow morning...

there were already 6 surfers out when i got there at 7am...  the sun was rising and so were the waves...  it was ruff and tumbley out there, but a few clean waves came thru now and then...

i had my shot at what i thought were some pretty big rideable waves, but each time i got thrown, pwned, and rolled...  i blame my surfer noobiness...

again a strong southern rip current dragging everything down the coast...  got out and did a few double-pier walks...  only to miss the sweet spot and have to get out again...

maybe it will clean up enuff to play again later today, if not, then definately tommorrow morning...
